I had been searching far and wide for a good site to practice my knowledge in writing. So for almost three years I finally found factoidz through a friend who is also trying her luck in the writing world. Because both of us are not native English speakers, we shared our own experiences in the writing world and taught each other about some simple ways to improve our writing.
My friend and I both love writing and we have tried many writing sites online. When I finally found out about factoidz from my friend, I immediately registered and tried writing. But then something happened along the way as i was busy writing for the site. I just happened upon a review site that said Factoidz is not a good writing site.
I ignored the article and thought of the best to happen but i saw another negative write up about Factoidz that left me thinking hard. In the end I stopped writing for Factoidz, after writing 21 articles and I qualified for the staff writer. Because of the bad publicity about Factoidz I stopped writing for the site and concentrated on my other writing sites. After hibernating for a few months I thought I should go back to write for factoidz.com because I have a feeling that factoidz is a good site. One writer mentioned of her great earnings in Factoidz and i know that she is not lying.
My comeback to Factoidz.com was a blessing in disguise. I wrote a few articles and found out that my articles rated high and they earned a few dollars immediately.
Writing for Factidz.com is a good experience because I feel that I am compensated with my hard work. I have seen the flow of money in factoidz which is far better than the other writing sites that I have joined. If there are people who do not believe in the good opportunity that the site gives writers, they should try now.

I heard there was a small group of writers who have been out to stain the Factoidz name. I searched a bit online and found that all the posts on several websites were posted by the same 2 people. Its a pity because Factoidz pays much better than other sites and the staff and community is very friendly there. I earn more at Factoidz in one month than I do in an entire year at Triond.
Thank you Lindasmith for a very thorough explanation of the two sites. Your comment is very useful and informative to writers who want to try both. I use both sites since I find them both very good writing sites.
I have made comparisons between Factoidz and Hub Pages. I earned more from Factoidz in 3 days from 9 articles, than I did from Aug to November with 27 articles on Hub pages. Writers here don't harass other writers but they do on Hub pages and Hub pages allows certain writers to do as they please. Factoidz does not allow you to add links to your own personal site, affiliate programs. Hub pages does for the moment, allow affiliate marketing and has nice capsules for your products with Ebay and/or Amazon. But they have taken a turn for the worse too. Hub pages is soon going to take away the control writers have over their Amazon account,because it will soon be part of HP who controls the whole show. So if you make a a sale, HP will pay what they want you to have, and then there is that minimum pay out again of 50 bucks. It would be nice if Factoidz would allow writers to do affiliate marketing and to promote their blogs etc, other than in the their profile box. But there is an alternative with Wizzly and Squidoo. So I now give the junk articles to Hub pages, and put others here. So if you have articles and don't care if it takes you a year or more to make a minimum of 50 bucks before you get paid, go to and stick with sites like HP, at least you get paid monthly with no minimum balance by Factoidz and can pick up a few bucks a month when you have not added any new articles. The one negative here is that although you can republish after 30 days, the content is duplicate because it never leaves Factoidz. Hub pages allows you to unpublish and delete artcles, and their system totally wipes it from the Internet. So, you can republish and it is not duplicate because it won't be found on the Internet until you publish elsewhere. I prefer the subdomain that HP gives us. Your hubs rank faster in Google than they do with Factoidz which seem to never rank. Here, your domain name is not your name or your article name, it is Factoidz.com/articlename.

Masmasika, as you say, there has been a lot of negative publicity about Factoidz. Perhaps it would help if you were more specific about your actual earnings, it would help give people confidence.
sunforged, thanks for your comment.It would be unfair to say that it is a good place to dump some content that doesn't fir elsewhere because there are very good writers too out there. Maybe to some it is not a good site but to me it is and to many others who write for the site.

It actually isnt a good opportunity, its a kind of ok place to dump some content that doesnt fit elsewhere, but they have a terrible history of mismanagement and dubious practices.
Why is this a "good opportunity" ..you have mentioned earning a "few dollars" ... thats not much of a draw.
I am not familiar with factoidz but will look it up. I do like doing research so this can work.

Thanks Jennifer for the comment. At present I have already more than three hundred articles in Factoidz and I have earned a fair amount of money that I consider good earnings. The traffic of some of my articles are very high and they are earning from visits monthly. I have stopped writing in Triond since I find the earning too low.
