Snoring is caused by the blockage of the air passage when a person sleeps. As the person sleeps, the muscles in the body relax which affects the air passage. Reduce your weight
Most people who are fat snore when they sleep because they sleep deeply and their muscles are more relaxed. The relaxed muscles press the passage of air that causes the snoring.
Overeating could increase your snoring that is why you should eat less before sleeping. If you want to eat more, eat earlier so that your food is fully digested before you go to sleep.
Avoid alcohol, drugs and sleep inducing pills
All of these induce sleep and increases the relaxation of muscles. When your air passage is relaxed and depressed, this will cause you to snore because the flow of air is blocked.
Sleep on your side
To stop snoring or minimize it, you must sleep on your side. This will not make your air passage relax and will make air flow easier.
Use more pillows
Use more pillows to elevate your head so that your air passage will not be pressed which will allow for a better flow of air thereby preventing you from snoring.
Practice mouth and jaw exercise
Exercising your mouth, jaw and tongue will help stop or minimize snoring. Try closing and opening your jaws. This will help strengthen the muscles in your mouth which will keep the air passage open and not pressed to allow for better air passage and prevent you from snoring.
Treat colds and other nasal related problems
If the cause of your snoring is colds or other related nasal problems, treat it immediately. Drink plenty of water and fruit juices or take in medicine for colds. If you have allergy, try spraying your room with anti-allergy spray. Make sure that your room is always clean and free from dusts to avoid having allergy colds.

my husband snores so bad i have anxiety and its already hard for me to go to sleep and his snoring doesnt help at all some one please help me im restless so tired and cant think we argue all the time about it HELP
Hi Masmasika, my husband's snoring while sleeping is quite loud and my ears have just got used to. I have tried all the above tips before and the snoring is still there. I would appreciate if you can tell some more solutions or ideas based on natural therapy.
but could snoring be something heredity? Almost everyone in my family does snore (though the sound varies alot) I myself sometimes snore and at other times not. I feel that i did not sleep properly when I snore. and coming to the issue of overweight my grandma is very lithe but she is the one who snores very loudly. I cannot agree with weight having much to do with snoring

I'm sorry about that The Partner. My father also was a loud snorer and my mother always complained. The only thing that my mother did when my father snored so loud was tap him at the back so he will move on his side and stop snoring. You can follow the tips that I mentioned above and good luck.
